What did the Tygers do when the world was locked down? Well, quite a lot as it happens. For a start a new guitarist, Francesco Marras, and a new bass player, Huw Holding were recruited. They were also proud to collect a music industry award from
\nHard Rock Hell as winners in the NWOBHM section. And \u2026 if that wasn\u2019t enough, they
\nhave written and demoed their next album and produced a new four track E.P.<\/p>\n
The E.P. features two rerecorded tracks from their first album \u201cWild Cat\u201d plus two new
\ntracks. \u201cFireclown\u201d and \u201cKillers\u201d from \u201cWild Cat\u201d now firmly bear Francesco\u2019s musical
\nstamp and new tracks. \u201cA New Heartbeat\u201d and \u201cRed Mist\u201d demonstrate what might be
\nexpected from the next Tygers album – the Tygers signature sound of heavy as hell riffs,
\nfinger knotting solos and Jack Meille\u2019s vocals extraordinaire. The mix was executed by
\nMarco Angioni at Angioni Studios and, as with all recent Tygers releases, the mastering
\nwas completed by Harry Hess.<\/p>\n
The release comes initially as a digipak CD and will only be available in physical form
\nfrom the Tygers website and directly from their record company Mighty Music\/Target
\nGroup. A vinyl version will follow.<\/p>\n
Robb Weir commented \u201c\u201cFireclown\u201d and \u201cKillers\u201d are much neglected Tygers gems.
\nThey are rarely played live but often requested so we thought it would be interesting
\nto hear a modern take on them. Visiting the past brings back so many memories for
\nus and, I\u2019m guessing, for Tygers followers\u201d. Jack Meille added: \u201cLockdown may have
\nprevented us from playing live but it couldn\u2019t curtail the creative spirt that has resulted in
\nthe creation of \u201cA New Heartbeat\u201d and \u201cRed Mist\u201d for this single\u201d.<\/p>\n
