To put it plain and simple, Puteraeon is one of the best old-school death metal bands from Sweden nowadays. And we\u2019re talking Sweden, home of bands such as Nihilist, Grave or Dismember. Puteraeon carries the tradition of all things obscure and, on album No. 4, delve (even) deeper into H.P. Lovecraft dark world and emerge with \u201cThe Cthulhian Pulse: Call From The Dead City\u201d, a collection of ten tracks which are easily the most mature the band have done so far.<\/p>\n
Mixed and mastered by Dan Swan\u00f6, who has the following to say about the album: \u201cOne of the better Death Metal albums I have ever mixed. I just love the mysterious and more adventurous musical arrangements, yet keeping the raw and brutal HM2 SweDeath vibe intact as a back bone. Excellent musicianship all over and easily their best release so far!\u201d. \u201cThe Cthulhian Pulse\u201d oozes with darkness, but bring also out a more melodic side to Puteraeon, making it one of the death metal candidates for album of the year. It will be released in digital, CD and vinyl formats.<\/p>\n
Puteraeon was formed in 2008 by guitarist & vocalist Jonas Lindblood (Taetre) and the did three demos between 2008 and 2009. In the meantime, and before recording the debut album \u201cThe Esoteric Order\u201d, he put up a solid line-up. Shortly after the debut album hit the streets, the band hit the stage and it was a one-way road to sucess within the old-school death metal genre. In early 2012 the second full-length album, \u201cCult Cthulhu\u201d (the second also mastered by Andy LaRoque) was released. The band quickly started another round of gigs. A split 7\u201d with Revel In Flesh was released in 2014, before Puteraeon release album No. 3 \u201cThe Crawling Chaos\u201d in the same year. The EPs \u201cThe Empires Of Death\u201d & \u201cThe Dunwitch Damnation\u201d were the band\u2019s following releases, in 2017 and 2018, respectively.<\/p>\n
